The celebration will recognize a member of America’s “Greatest Generation” and give family, friends, community members, and local leaders an opportunity to come together in appreciation of his contributions and the sacrifices made by those who served during World War II. Palm Beach County Commissioner Maria G. Marino will be presenting a special proclamation to our veteran in honor of this momentous event. World War II Veterans hold a special place in our nation’s history. Their courage, dedication, and willingness to serve helped shape the freedoms and opportunities enjoyed by generations that followed. This birthday celebration is an opportunity to not only recognize one veteran’s life and service, but also to honor the legacy of an entire generation of Americans who answered the call to duty.
