The City of Fort Walton Beach has prepared a draft copy of the Fiscal Year 2025 Proposed Budget. This budget will be presented to City Council at the September 10, 2024, Council meeting for approval. The proposed budget is available on the City’s website at: https://www.fwb.org/finance/pages/budget and is available for review at City Hall, 107 Miracle Strip Parkway SW, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548.

Please be advised that the Brooks and Rutledge project will require a full road closure at the intersection of Brooks Street and Rutledge Avenue starting Monday, June 3, 2024, at 7:00 AM. The closure is expected to last approximately two weeks, weather permitting. Detour routes will be in place to guide traffic around the affected area. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our infrastructure.

"A Public Hearing will be held on June 25, 2024 at 6:00 PM at Fort Walton Beach City Hall, 107 Miracle Strip Parkway SW, Fort Walton Beach, Florida, to consider the following proposed ordinance: ORDINANCE 2024-15 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 2023-14, WHICH ADOPTED THE FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024 BUDGET, TO PROVIDE FOR SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF CONFLICTING PROVISIONS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. The purpose of this ordinance is to amend the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Budget to appropriate funds for the following projects: Butters Park Improvement Project ($150,000), Downtown CRA Façade Grant Program ($250,000), and Regional Airport Land Acquisition ($1,000,000). A copy of the proposed ordinance is available for review at the City Clerk’s Office, City Hall, 107 Miracle Strip Parkway SW, Fort Walton Beach, Florida, during normal business hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday."
