Ruby Jewell Jones Shelton, age 90, of Manchester, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Legacy Health and Rehab.A lifelong resident of Manchester, Ruby was born on January 24, 1936, the daughter of the late Matt and Maude Jones. She was a faithful member of the Original Church of Jesus and was retired from Eaton after ten years of dedicated service.Ruby had a vibrant spirit and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially spending her weekends exploring flea markets and serving the community running Ruby’s Cafe at the livestock market. She was a woman who possessed a rare and genuine love for people. Her family fondly remembers her philosophy on life: she truly never met a stranger, she only met "new people." Her kindness and open heart left a lasting impact on everyone who crossed her path.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of almost 50 years, Jesse Shelton, and her siblings, Jeffery and Roger, and her daughter Lisa. Ruby is survived by her son Ronnie, along with a host of extended family and dear friends.The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Manchester Funeral Home.Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM in the Manchester Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Elton Chesser officiating.Burial will follow at Ragsdale Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest among her family.In honor of Ruby’s memory, the family suggests memorial donations be made to an Alzheimer’s Association of your choosing.Manchester Funeral Home is honored to serve the Shelton family.
