Linda Sue Hoosier, age 70, passed away at her home in Morrison, Tennessee, on April 30, 2026. Born on July 21, 1955, in North Carolina to David and Peggy Baker, Linda lived a life defined by hard work, a wandering spirit, and an immense heart for her family and animals.Linda dedicated many years of her life to her Military Service, her business, and her work as a butcher at Kroger. She was a provider in the truest sense, working tirelessly to ensure her family never went without. While she took pride in her belongings, her greatest treasures were her loved ones.A woman of many passions, Linda spent much of her life traveling and had a deep appreciation for the world's beauty. Whether she was tending to her vibrant garden or lost in the rhythm of her favorite music, she found joy. She often dreamed of traveling abroad to experience the many cultures of places like Italy and Spain, and she cherished the hope of one day visiting Germany, the home of her late husband, Pete.Perhaps nothing captured Linda’s nurturing soul better than her love for animals. An avid cat lover, she shared her home and her heart with eight beloved cats who were her constant companions.Along with her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Peter Hoosier.Linda is survived by her loving and devoted son, Tyler Johnson. She also leaves behind her sisters, Cindy (Brian) Wheeling and Debbie (Jim) Lipford and her brother, David (Amy) Baker Jr., along with her nephews, Shawn Wheeling, Richard Benner, & Jonah Baker.A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Manchester Funeral Home with Military Honors to open the service at 12:00 Noon. Family and Friends are invited to visit from 11:00 until service time.
