Residents and travelers in Death Valley National Park, Western Clark County, and Southern Nye County are advised to secure outdoor objects and use extra caution when driving due to a Wind Advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Las Vegas NV.
The advisory is in effect from Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 2:08 PM PDT until Monday, October 12, 2026, at 5:00 AM PDT. South winds are expected to reach 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 45 to 55 mph.
These strong winds can make driving difficult, particularly for high-profile vehicles. The NWS warns that tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Unsecured outdoor objects are also at risk of being blown around.
Please take immediate steps to secure any loose items around your property and exercise heightened vigilance if you must travel during this period.
