MIAMI-DADE COUNTY – Geovany Andres Rojas, also known as “Araña” and accused of being a high-level narco-terrorist and significant cocaine trafficker, arrived in the United States on September 25, 2026, following his extradition from Colombia. U.S. officials took custody of Rojas early Friday morning at a Colombian National Police air base in Bogotá. Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella attended the handover. Rojas arrived at an undisclosed location in San Diego at 4:30 p.m. PST, accompanied by Drug Enforcement Administration and Federal Bureau of Investigation agents.
The extradition stems from an investigation targeting prolific cocaine trafficking operations. Rojas's alleged role as a narco-terrorist leader suggests criminal activity beyond drug trafficking.
Specific charges and the duration of the investigation remain undisclosed. The U.S. government has not yet issued a statement.
