FBI Director Patel Addresses Senate Judiciary Committee

Why it matters locally: Oversight of the FBI, a federal law enforcement agency with agents and operations across all states, including Wyoming, directly impacts the enforcement of federal laws within the state's borders. Decisions and policies discussed at this level can influence investigations and security efforts conducted by federal agents in cooperation with local agencies like the Natrona County Sheriff's Office or the Campbell County Sheriff's Office.

WASHINGTON – FBI Director Kash Patel testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday during an oversight hearing. The session focused on the operations of the nation's primary federal law enforcement agency.
