How can I be a successful grant applicant? If you’re applying for a Pennsylvania state grant, here are some tips to help you do well: Read the rules carefully. Every grant has its own steps, deadlines, and reporting requirements. Be sure to understand the rules for the grant you’re applying for. Watch out for common mistakes. Some people forget to include forms, make errors in their budget, or don’t explain their goals clearly. Take the training. The Grantee Integrity Training is free and helps you learn how to follow the rules and use your grant funding the right way. It’s especially helpful for first-time applicants and supports Pennsylvania’s commitment to fairness for all. Ask for help. Grants are available for many purposes. Every grant listed on pa.gov/grants has specific eligibility requirements.
