This threat is expected to persist through Saturday morning.
Residents in these areas should remain sheltered in a safe location. Flood preparations and ordered evacuations should be complete, and evacuees should be in shelters well away from storm surge flooding. Do not venture outside.
Wind gusts up to 65 mph are also possible. Remaining efforts to protect property should be completed as soon as possible. Prepare for limited wind damage, including damage to porches, awnings, and sheds, and scattered power outages. Move to safe shelter before hazardous winds begin.
