Dane County Executive Agard Welcomes World Dairy Expo Back to Dane County
DANE COUNTY – Dane County Executive Melissa Agard today welcomed World Dairy Expo back to Dane County as farmers, exhibitors, industry leaders, students and visitors from around the world gather at the Alliant Energy Center for one of the dairy industry’s premier international events. World Dairy Expo runs September 29 through October 2 and brings together the dairy community for its renowned cattle show, trade show, educational programming and opportunities to showcase new technology and innovation across the industry. “World Dairy Expo is an important part of Dane County’s agricultural identity and an event we are incredibly proud to host,” said County Executive Agard. “For a few days each fall, Dane County becomes a global gathering place for the dairy industry. We welcome the farmers, families, exhibitors, students and visitors who make this event so special and thank them for choosing Dane County year after year.” World Dairy Expo is the largest event hosted at the Alliant Energy Center and provides a significant economic boost to the region, supporting local hotels, restaurants, businesses and the broader tourism economy. The event also provides educational opportunities for young people and connects Wisconsin’s agricultural community with research and technology from around the world. The longstanding relationship between Dane County and World Dairy Expo is especially important as the County works toward the next chapter for the Alliant Energy Center campus. “World Dairy Expo is a valued partner as we work to redevelop the Alliant Energy Center campus and position it for decades of future success,” Agard said. “Our goal is to build on what makes this campus such an important regional asset while creating new opportunities for events, economic activity and community use. World Dairy Expo is an important part of that future, and we look forward to continuing to grow our partnership.” Agard also thanked World Dairy Expo organizers, exhibitors, volunteers and Alliant Energy Center employees for the extensive work required to prepare the campus and welcome visitors from around the world. “Dane County has a proud agricultural tradition, and World Dairy Expo gives us an opportunity to share that tradition with the world while also looking toward the future of agriculture,” Agard concluded.

Marinette County Library Announces Spring Event Schedule
Marinette County Library Spring Program Schedule We are excited to announce our spring programming lineup! Join us for a variety of engaging activities for all ages. Children's Story Time: Join us every Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM for interactive stories, songs, and crafts designed for preschoolers and toddlers. This program will run from April 10th through June 19th. Adult Book Club: Our monthly book club will be discussing "Where the Crawdads Sing" by Delia Owens. The meeting will be held on Thursday, April 25th at 7:00 PM in the library meeting room. Computer Skills Workshop: Learn the basics of navigating the internet, sending emails, and using common software in our introductory computer workshop. Sessions are scheduled for Saturdays, May 4th and May 18th, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Registration is required. Who Let the Dogs Out?
Does your pooch need room to roam? Check out White River County Park’s newest amenity—the dog park! With separate, fenced-in play areas for big and little dogs, the dog park is a safe space for Fido to play fetch, run, and socialize with other dogs. Dog parents will find pet waste bags/stations, trash cans, and benches for ease of use. Visitors should park in the main parking lot across the street. We’re sure your pups will give it two paws up. White River County Park is located at 6503 Sheridan Springs Road in Lake Geneva. Check out this video to see the features of our new dog park.
