A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Northern Hancock, including the communities of Necaise and Sellers, effective immediately as of October 9 at 4:12 AM CDT. The warning, issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) New Orleans LA, is set to expire on October 9 at 12:15 PM UTC.

While sustained winds are expected to remain below tropical storm force, with forecasts of 15-25 mph and gusts up to 40 mph, residents should be aware of potentially gusty conditions. The NWS advises listening for instructions from local officials and ensuring emergency readiness should the forecast change. Community officials are currently assessing any realized wind impacts.

No significant rainfall or flooding is anticipated, with little to no potential for impacts from flooding rain. Additionally, tornadoes are not expected, though showers and thunderstorms with gusty winds may still occur.
