A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Northern Hancock, affecting Necaise and Sellers. This warning, issued by the National Weather Service New Orleans, LA, at 10:02 AM CDT today, October 9, advises residents to monitor conditions, despite current forecasts indicating winds below tropical storm force.

While peak wind forecasts are 10-20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph, sustained winds are expected to remain below tropical storm force. Residents should still be prepared for gusty conditions. Listen for any instructions from local officials and ensure emergency readiness in case the forecast changes. Little to no additional wind impacts are expected, and community officials are currently assessing any actual wind impacts.
