Bay Harbor Islands' Bright Paths Youth Development Program Secures Major Funding from The Children's Trust

Bay Harbor Islands' Bright Paths Youth Development Program has secured significant funding from The Children's Trust. This investment will directly support after-school and summer programming for local youth, providing safe and engaging opportunities for children and families in the community.

The funding is part of The Children's Trust's largest investment area, the Youth Development initiative. The Trust is investing over $76 million across Miami-Dade County to support more than 140 programs. These programs, including the one in Bay Harbor Islands, were selected through a competitive Request for Proposals and review process.

Trust-funded Youth Development providers offer high-quality programming for children and youth from kindergarten through 12th grade. They also serve specific young adults involved in the child welfare or juvenile justice systems, or those living with disabilities. Key components of these programs include homework support, physical activity, and nutritional meals. They also emphasize health and social-emotional wellness.
