Titusville residents on specific stretches of South Hopkins Avenue must continue to boil their water for consumption. The City of Titusville issued a Precautionary Boil Water Notice following repairs to a broken water main that occurred on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

The notice impacts addresses including 3820, 3816, 3808, 3776, 3764, 3762, 3760, 3724, 3720, 3700, 3666, 3656, 3630, 3620, 3608, 3604, 3558, 3556, 3659, and 3667 S. Hopkins Ave. City crews shut off the water main around 2:45 PM on Wednesday to address the break. While the main has since been returned to service, the precautionary notice remains in effect.

Residents in the affected area must boil all water for one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes. Bottled water serves as an acceptable alternative for these uses. Water remains safe for bathing, laundering, and other non-consumptive purposes.

The Precautionary Boil Water Notice will stay in place until a bacteriological survey confirms the water is safe to drink. The city anticipated rescinding notices by yesterday, Friday, September 25, 2026. However, residents should continue boiling water for consumption until they receive official rescinding notices. For questions, residents can contact the Public Works Field Operations Division at 321-567-3883. After 4 p.m., the emergency call out line is 321-383-5657.
