Residents of Bay County, Florida, are advised to immediately seek shelter indoors due to a Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) in Tallahassee. The warning is in effect from 8:03 PM CDT until 8:45 PM CDT tonight, September 20.

At 8:03 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was detected near Lynn Haven, moving southwest at 20 mph. The primary hazard is 60 mph wind gusts, which are expected to cause damage to roofs, siding, and trees. The NWS advises moving to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building for your protection.

Locations impacted include Panama City, Lynn Haven, Panama City Beach, Callaway, Springfield, Hiland Park, Tyndall Air Force Base, Parker, and surrounding communities.
