A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for several counties in Southeast Georgia, effective until 11:00 AM EDT today, September 30.

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Jacksonville, FL, issued the advisory at 9:47 AM EDT. Affected areas include Coffee, Jeff Davis, Bacon, Appling, Wayne, Atkinson, Pierce, Brantley, Inland Glynn, Inland Camden, Northern Ware, and Northeastern Charlton counties.

Visibility is expected to be significantly reduced, potentially to a quarter-mile or less in dense fog. Drivers should exercise extreme caution, slow down, use low-beam headlights, and leave extra space between vehicles. Be prepared for sudden changes in visibility.
