Teacher Qualifications Although we prefer applicants with a certificate from FCCPC (formerly known as CDA), or an Associates degree, or a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, we will help employees work toward a certificate or degree. Teachers are required to earn 24 in-service hours annually per APPLE accreditation standards. Teachers must have the required 45 credit hour credential from the Department of Children and Families. Lead Teachers must have or be able to earn a FCCPC certification (formerly known as CDA) within a timely manner.
