The Governor’s Office for Victims Advocacy puts crime victims first, and advocates for the promotion and protection of constitutional and statutory rights of crime victims in Louisiana. The Office for Victims Advocacy seeks to assist victims of crime in Louisiana by providing resources, and to ensure that victims of crime become an integral part of the criminal justice system.

We fight to protect their rights, make their voices heard, and ensure they’re at the heart of Louisiana’s justice system. Victims deserve support, respect, and advocacy; and our goal is to make that happen. Louisiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence LCADV is a federally designated statewide coalition of shelters, non-residential programs and individuals working to end domestic violence in Louisiana. Louisiana Address Confidentiality Program The ACP provides relocated victims of abuse, sexual assault or stalking with a substitute address to use in place of their actual address when they apply for or receive state or local government services (e.g., driver's license, voter registration, public school records, etc.). Crime Survivors Guide Crime Survivors NOLA is a group of Greater New Orleans survivors and advocates who share information and resources for survivors of violence. National Center for Victims of Crime The National Center for Victims of Crime is dedicated to serving individuals, families, and communities harmed by crime.
