Dense Fog Advisory Issued: Drive with Caution in Midlands Until 10 AM

Residents in the eastern Midlands of South Carolina and Burke County, Georgia, are advised to exercise extreme caution when driving this morning due to a Dense Fog Advisory. The National Weather Service (NWS) Columbia SC has issued this advisory, effective immediately until 10:00 AM EDT today, October 2nd.
Visibility is significantly reduced to one-quarter mile or less in dense fog, creating hazardous driving conditions. Areas affected in South Carolina include Burke, Lee, Sumter, Barnwell, Calhoun, Clarendon, Bamberg, Northwestern Orangeburg, Central Orangeburg, and Southeastern Orangeburg counties.
