Library Closed for Staff Training on October 9
Tabb Library and Yorktown Library will be closed to the public on Friday, October 9, 2026, to conduct its annual Staff Development Day. This full-day closure allows all library personnel to participate in professional training, safety workshops, and planning sessions. This dedicated time ensures that staff can continue to deliver high-quality programs, digital resources, and exceptional customer service to the community. Important Details for Patrons Regarding the Closure Digital Access The library’s digital collection remains open 24/7. Patrons can continue to stream and download ebooks, audiobooks, movies, music, and magazines through Libby, Kanopy, Freegal, Magzter, and more. Access the digital collection through the library's website. Book Drops Outdoor book return bins will remain open during the closure for patrons wishing to return borrowed materials.
