Residents in Baker, Inland Nassau, Trout River, South Central Duval, Western Duval, Brantley, Inland Camden, Northeastern Charlton, Southern Ware, and Western Charlton counties are advised to seek shelter indoors immediately. The National Weather Service (NWS) Jacksonville FL has issued a Special Weather Statement at 7:11 PM EDT, effective until 7:45 PM EDT tonight, October 3.

Strong thunderstorms are tracking northeast at 20 mph, with radar indicating wind gusts of 40 to 45 mph and the potential for minor flooding due to heavy rainfall. Impacted locations include Hilliard, Folkston, Callahan, Macclenny, Homeland, Glen St. Mary, Maxville, Cisco Gardens, St. George, and Bryceville. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and dislodge unsecured objects. Torrential rainfall is occurring, and localized flooding is possible. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

If you are outdoors, please move inside a sturdy building. Remain vigilant for rapidly changing weather conditions.
