Drive with Caution: Dense Fog Advisory Issued for Region Until 11 AM CDT
A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for parts of central, south central, and southeast South Dakota until 11 AM CDT, urging drivers to exercise caution due to reduced visibility.
A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for portions of central, south central, and southeast South Dakota, effective immediately until 11:00 AM CDT today, September 27. The National Weather Service (NWS) Sioux Falls SD issued the advisory at 9:53 AM CDT.
Visibility is reported to be reduced to between one-quarter and one-half mile in the affected areas. This low visibility presents hazardous driving conditions. The advisory covers Gregory, Jerauld, Brule, Aurora, Davison, Hanson, Charles Mix, Douglas, Hutchinson, Bon Homme, and Yankton counties.
The NWS advises all drivers to slow down, use their headlights, and leave plenty of distance between their vehicle and others on the road during this period. The advisory will expire at 11:00 AM CDT.
