This gentle, low-intensity practice includes stretches, breathing exercises, and strengthening movements with a focus on pelvic floor recovery, core stability, and overall wellbeing. A special aspect of this class is the opportunity to bring your baby (up until they start crawling) to share in the experience. Whether your little one joins you on the mat for gentle movements or relaxes in their car seat, this class fosters bonding while allowing you to prioritize your recovery and self-care. I-90 Exit 46 project continues near Piedmont
KOTA TV: I-90 Exit 46 project continues near Piedmont The South Dakota Department of Transportation reminds travelers to steer clear of scams. Reminder: all South Dakota state-owned roads and bridges are toll-free. https://www.kotatv.com/2026/09/23/i-90-exit-46-project-continues-near-piedmont/ Drivers near the I-90 Exit 46 interchange should expect lane reductions and traffic shifts through November as construction continues. The South Dakota Department of Transportation said I-90 is reduced to one lane in each direction while crews work on the interchange reconstruction and utility relocation. The eastbound reduction runs from about mile marker 45 to mile marker 46, while westbound traffic is reduced from about mile marker 47 to Exit 44. Temporary traffic shifts may occur, but access to homes and businesses will be maintained. The project will also require a temporary water shutoff for all Piedmont homes and businesses between midnight and 4 a.m. on either Sept. 25 or Sept. 26. The city will notify residents and businesses once the date is confirmed. SDDOT expects Sturgis Road and Elk Creek Road to be paved by the end of November. I-90 lane closures are also expected to remain in place through November. Drivers can get project updates by texting I90Exit46 to 605-566-4041. KOTA TV: SDDOT hiring seasonal snowplow operators across South Dakota
The South Dakota Department of Transportation is hiring temporary snowplow operators ahead of the upcoming winter season. The reserve positions run from late September through early May, with employees working as needed based on weather and road conditions. Pay ranges from $22.80 to $24.60 an hour, depending on experience, and training is provided. Applicants must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license and hold a Class A or Class B commercial driver’s license. A tank endorsement is required within 30 days of being hired. Operators should be able to operate heavy equipment and respond quickly during snow and ice events. The positions are temporary and do not include benefits. SDDOT says reserve operators help keep state highways safe and passable during winter weather. Yankton P&D: SDDOT Seeks Public Input On I-29 Project
The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) will hold a public meeting open house on Wednesday, Sept. 30, for the proposed structure replacement, ramp modification, grading, surfacing, and ADA project on Interstate 29 (exit 15) and Main Street in Elk Point. The public meeting open house will be held at the Elk Point City Hall located at 106 W. Pleasant St. in Elk Point. A presentation will be shared shortly after 5:30 p.m. The open house will be informal, allowing for one-on-one discussions with design staff. Representatives from SDDOT will be available to answer questions, discuss the project, and receive community input. The purpose of the meeting is to provide information and gather public input. Area residents, business owners, and daily commuters are encouraged to attend and participate in the public meeting open house. Individuals needing assistance, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), should contact the SDDOT ADA Coordinator (605-773-3540) two business days prior to the meeting in order to ensure accommodations are available. For any in-person meeting, notice is further given to individuals with disabilities that the meeting is being held in a physically accessible location. For those who cannot attend the public meeting or desire additional information on the overall project, information is available online at https://dot.sd.gov/projects-studies/projects/public-meetings/#08Y0. Written public comments will be accepted until Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026. Comments can be submitted either in-person during the public meeting or through the project website.
