Joan Kensi, 60, of Palm Coast Remembered for Vibrant Spirit

Joan Marie Kensi, 60, of Palm Coast, Florida, died peacefully at her home on August 19, 2026. Known for her vibrant personality and unwavering faith, Ms. Kensi touched many lives through her careers in sales and hospitality services.

Born Nov. 21, 1965, in Rahway, New Jersey, to George T. Levins Sr. and Joan Ann Levins, Ms. Kensi graduated from Santa Fe High School in Alachua, Florida. Friends often described her as "the brightest light in the room."

Ms. Kensi’s son, Joel, 34, was a central figure in her life. They shared many hours at the beach and on camping trips.

Ms. Kensi’s mother, Joan Jirkovsky Levins of Alachua, Florida, survives her, along with her husband, Adnane. She also leaves her brothers George, Erin, and David. Sister-in-law Mary-Ann, George's wife, also survives her, along with nephews Thomas and Dillon, and niece Savannah.

She is survived by her aunt, Rita (Bunny) Russell, and cousins Kathleen Anne Frost (and Marty Frost), David (Davey) Sales (and Tara Sales), William Russell, and Christopher Russell (and Sierra). Many other relatives also survive her.

Her father, George Levins Sr.; her uncle Thomas Finnerty; her aunt Kathleen Anne Sales; and her uncle Joseph Levins preceded her in death.

A funeral service took place Sept. 12, 2026, at Saint Madeleine Catholic Church in High Springs, Florida. The Rev. Sebastian George officiated. Burial followed at Saint Madeline’s Memorial Garden. V. Todd Ferreira Funeral Services in Lake City, Florida, handled the arrangements.
