Tampa Electric Seeks IAM Security Engineer in Lutz, FL

Tampa Electric Company is hiring an experienced IAM Security Engineer for its Technology department. The position is based at the Bearss Operations Center in Lutz.

This role supports the company’s information security systems and ensures daily, weekly, and monthly procedures are followed. The engineer will support all systems securing enterprise information technology assets across TECO Energy and its subsidiaries, including network infrastructure, operating systems, and web server platforms.

Key responsibilities include hands-on experience with Saviynt IGA for identity lifecycle management, access reviews, and application onboarding. Proficiency in CyberArk PAM, Microsoft Entra ID/Active Directory, RBAC, and access governance is also required. The position involves IAM integrations, connectors, APIs, scripting, and automation, demanding both strategic thinking and hands-on support.

Primary duties include developing and maintaining a roadmap for Identity and Access Management (IAM), including Governance and Administration (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), authentication, Single Sign-On (SSO), directory services, and access governance. The engineer will collaborate with Cyber Security, Human Resources, Technology, Architecture, and Lines of Business teams to create efficient IAM solutions.

The role also requires supporting PAM capabilities, assisting with the deployment and management of SSO and authentication solutions, and monitoring, troubleshooting, and responding to identity and access-related incidents. Collaboration with business owners, application teams, implementation partners, and managed service providers is essential. The engineer will identify opportunities to improve IAM automation, integrations, processes, and toolsets.

The position operates on an 8-hour by 5-day work schedule.
