Whether you’re looking for an exciting activity for your child, preparing for competition, or considering starting Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu, or Kickboxing, now is the perfect time to get involved. Parents Night Out Nerf War – June 20th Looking for a fun night for the kids while parents enjoy an evening to themselves? Our popular Parents Night Out Nerf War returns on Friday, June 20th from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Students from our Somerset and Bristol academies will join us at our Somerset Headquarters. Fairhaven students will attend the event at the Fairhaven Academy. Open to children ages 5-12. This action-packed event is always one of the highlights of the summer. Kids will enjoy organized Nerf battles, games, activities, and time with their teammates and coaches in a safe and positive environment. Events like these help students build friendships, confidence, and a stronger connection to our academy community while having a great time. New Breed BJJ Federation Tournament – June 27th Our competition team is preparing for the upcoming New Breed BJJ Federation Tournament on June 27th at the Longplex in Tiverton, Rhode Island. Competition provides students with an opportunity to test their skills, build confidence, and experience personal growth through challenge. Whether it’s a student’s first tournament or their fiftieth, stepping onto the competition mats is always a valuable learning experience. We encourage all students interested in competing to speak with their coaches and join the team for this exciting event. Competition Camp Ends June 20th Our New Breed Competition Camp has been helping students sharpen their skills and prepare for tournament day. The camp concludes on June 20th, giving competitors one final week of focused preparation before competition day. Throughout camp, students have been developing: Tournament strategy Conditioning Match awareness Takedowns Submission attacks Competition mindset We are excited to see all of our athletes showcase their hard work on June 27th. Wrestling for Jiu-Jitsu & Leg Locks Master Class – July 18th Don’t miss our upcoming Master Class on Saturday, July 18th. This special seminar will feature: Coach Rob Padeiro Coach Rob will cover wrestling techniques specifically designed for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners. Students will learn practical takedowns, entries, setups, and positional strategies that translate directly to success in BJJ competition and training. Coach Dave Parker Coach Dave will teach modern leg lock systems, entries, controls, and submissions. Leg locks continue to play a major role in both Gi and No-Gi competition, making this an excellent opportunity to expand your game.
