STORM Team Appreciation Party — June 27 Also on June 27, we will hold our STORM Team Appreciation Party at Somerset HQ for members from all Danny Savery Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy locations. The STORM Team is an important part of our academy community. These students develop leadership, responsibility, communication skills, and confidence while helping younger students and learning what it takes to become strong role models on and off the mats. Many STORM Team members grow into assistant coaches, coaches, competitors, and leaders in their communities. This party is our way of recognizing the effort they put into helping make DSBJJ a positive, welcoming place for students and families. Kids Nerf War Parents’ Night Out — June 20 Parents, mark your calendars for our Kids Nerf War Parents’ Night Out on Friday, June 20. This event is a fun night for kids to spend time with friends, stay active, and enjoy a safe, supervised academy event outside of regular martial arts classes. It is also a great opportunity for parents to enjoy a night out while knowing their children are in a structured and positive environment. Events like Parents’ Night Out are part of what makes training at Danny Savery BJJ more than just taking a class. Our students build friendships, confidence, and a connection to the academy community. Wrestling for BJJ and Leg Locks Master Class — July 18 On Saturday, July 18, we will host a special master class at Somerset HQ focused on wrestling for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and leg locks. Strong takedowns and confident stand-up skills can change the way you approach BJJ. Learning how to control grips, create angles, finish takedowns, and transition safely into ground positions can help students become more complete grapplers. The leg lock portion of the master class will focus on improving awareness, position, control, and responsible application of modern submission grappling techniques. Whether you train GI Jiu-Jitsu, NO-GI BJJ, MMA, or compete regularly, this is a great opportunity to build useful skills that carry over into live training. Cage Titans MMA — July 18 Also on July 18, Danny Savery BJJ fighters Connor Holt, Jack Congdon, and AJ King will step back into the cage at Cage Titans MMA at Plymouth Memorial Hall. Our MMA program is built on a strong foundation of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, kickboxing, conditioning, discipline, and consistent training. Watching teammates compete is motivating for every student, whether your goal is to fight one day or simply become more confident in your own training. Connor, Jack, and AJ represent the work ethic, toughness, and commitment that go into preparing for high-level mixed martial arts competition. We are proud to support them as they represent the DSBJJ team. Start Training This Summer Summer is one of the best times to begin Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, NO-GI grappling, kickboxing, or MMA training. Schedules can be more flexible, students have time to build momentum, and starting now gives you a head start before the busy fall season. Our current summer special gives new students an excellent opportunity to begin training and receive their uniform free when they sign up the day of their introductory lesson.
