Washington Park Industrial Area Redevelopment Program Update The City is pleased to share an update on the Washington Park Industrial Area Redevelopment Program. Following the October 2025 community open house, the project team conducted additional public engagement, including a community walking audit, and reviewed feedback from residents, property owners, business owners and other stakeholders. This input, combined with the project team's technical analysis, informed the preparation of the Recommendations Report. The report outlines short-, medium- and long-term recommendations designed to improve the area's safety, appearance, mobility, infrastructure, parking, economic vitality and overall functionality while preserving its important industrial and service-based character. The recommendations are advisory and are being presented to the City Commission for direction. The report does not approve street changes, new regulations, assessments or capital projects. Any future implementation would require additional study, funding, departmental coordination and applicable public review and approval.
