Johnson Street Bridge Project Duration: Through September 15, 2026 One travel lane remains open in each direction during construction. The C-10 Canal at the Johnson Street Bridge is closed to boating traffic for the duration of the project. Sherman Street Bridge Project Duration: Through March 15, 2027 Traffic patterns will change throughout the project, including alternating single-lane traffic and temporary bridge closures. Signed detours will be in place during full bridge closures. The C-10 Canal at the Sherman Street Bridge is closed to boating traffic Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during construction. Broward County has retained Structural Technologies to raise the bridge by two feet, providing a 16'-6" vertical clearance to help reduce the risk of future vehicle impacts and structural damage. Construction will be completed in phases and is expected to include temporary lane closures, nightly traffic diversions, pedestrian detours, and overnight work along Sheridan Street and Florida's Turnpike. Business and residential access will be maintained throughout construction.
