Free Resident Self-Service Sand Distribution

To help residents prepare for hurricane season, the City of Hollywood is offering free sand and sandbags on a first-come, first-served basis. Hollywood residents may receive up to 10 bags per household, while supplies last.

To help residents prepare for hurricane season, the City of Hollywood is offering free sand and sandbags on a first-come, first-served basis. Hollywood residents may receive up to 10 bags per household, while supplies last. Residents must first visit one of the verification sites listed below to register and receive up to 10 empty sandbags. A valid driver's license or government-issued photo ID showing a Hollywood address is required for verification. Once registered, sand may be picked up at any designated sand distribution location. Please note that residents must bring their own shovel to fill their own sandbags. Sand will be available while supplies last.
