Extreme Heat Warning Issued for Orange County Inland: Act Now
An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect for Orange County Inland areas from October 5 to October 8, with temperatures up to 103 degrees; residents must drink fluids, stay cool, and check on others to prevent heat-related illnesses.
Residents in Orange County Inland areas are urged to take immediate precautions as an Extreme Heat Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service San Diego CA. The warning is effective from October 5 at 8:55 PM PDT until October 8 at 8:00 PM PDT.
Dangerously hot conditions are expected, with high temperatures projected to reach the upper 90s to 103 degrees Fahrenheit. Nights will offer little relief, with low temperatures remaining very warm, in the lower to mid-70s.
These extreme temperatures significantly increase the risk of heat-related illnesses. The National Weather Service advises all residents to:
- Drink plenty of fluids.
- Stay in an air-conditioned room.
- Stay out of the sun.
- Check up on relatives and neighbors.
Crucially, never leave young children or pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in just minutes.
