Staff Writer
June 11, 2026

Tangipahoa Parish Government will use a $4,150 grant from Keep Louisiana Beautiful to expand recycling education in local schools.

The Affiliate Grant funds a recycling and environmental education program that places bins in schools, coordinates collection services, and provides educational materials. Parish officials aim to increase recycling opportunities, reduce waste, and teach students responsible environmental practices.

Keep Louisiana Beautiful and the Office of the Lieutenant Governor distributed the grant. Parish officials have not announced which schools will participate or when the program launches.
