Edinburg Mayor Ochoa Selected for Harvard's New Mayors Program
Edinburg Mayor Omar Ochoa has been selected for Harvard University's Program for New Mayors: First 100 Days, an intensive training program for newly elected U.S. mayors.
Ochoa is one of 34 mayors chosen for the program, delivered through the Bloomberg Center for Cities at Harvard Kennedy School in partnership with Bloomberg Philanthropies and the U.S. Conference of Mayors. The selected mayors represent 6.7 million residents across 23 states.
The program equips mayors with practical tools to manage their first 100 days in office. Participants exchange ideas, access Bloomberg's global network of mayors, and learn leadership practices for managing time, setting priorities, handling crises, and building effective city hall teams.
"By learning alongside other U.S. mayors at Harvard, I look forward to strengthening capabilities my city hall will use in addressing challenges and serving our community," Ochoa said.
