Alamosa County Property Taxes Due April 30, 2025

Alamosa County Property Taxes Due by April 30 or in Two Installments

Alamosa County property owners can pay 2025 taxes in full by April 30 or split payments due February 28 and June 15. The County Treasurer mails notices each January for taxes levied on the previous year's assessed value.

Postmarks by the deadline dates avoid penalties. Payments under $25 require a single payment only.

The Treasurer's Office accepts personal checks, cash, money orders and certified funds. Credit and debit card payments carry a 2.35% fee with a $2 minimum; e-checks cost $2 flat.

Property owners whose loan companies handle payments must forward the tax notice themselves. Failure to receive a notice does not waive taxes owed. The Treasurer charges a $5 administrative fee for real property tax statements under $10.

Delinquent taxes are advertised for three consecutive weeks starting in September or October before the November Tax Lien Sale. Owners can redeem Tax Lien Sale certificates with certified funds at any time before the Treasurer issues a deed. Advertisement costs and expenses are added to amounts owed.
