Wacker Chemical, in partnership with Anderson Development, has its free Household Hazardous Waste Collection slated for 8 a.m.-noon on Saturday, May 9 at 3301 Sutton Rd, Adrian. Accepted Items (Residential Only): – Paint/Coatings: Oil-based paint, cleaners, thinners, aerosols, adhesives, sealers. – Household Cleaners: Acids, caustics, polishes. – Automotive Fluids: Used oil, oil products, antifreeze, brake fluid, grease. – Batteries & Light Bulbs: Household batteries, NiCad, lead-acid batteries, fluorescent bulbs/CFLs. – Garden/Misc: Pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, lighter fluid, 16 oz. propane gas cylinders. Items NOT Accepted: – Waste Types: Explosives, ammunition, radioactive waste, pharmaceuticals (medicine). – Items: Tires, appliances (A/C units), electronics (TVs, computers), or commercial/industrial waste. Participation Guidelines: – Limit of 10 gallons of liquid per car. – No container should be larger than 5 gallons. – Do not mix materials.
