Zephyrhills residents will pay more for water and sewer services beginning Oct. 1, 2026. The city council approved rate increases based on a 2023 Water and Sewer Rate Study conducted by Raftelis and detailed in the 2026 Water Sewer Utility Ordinance.
Single-family residential customers with a 3/4-inch meter will see their monthly base charge for water increase from $6.04 to $6.22, a 2.9% rise. Larger meter sizes and commercial accounts also will experience similar percentage increases to their base charges.
Usage charges per 1,000 gallons will also adjust. For single-family residential customers, the rate for the first 5,000 gallons of water usage will rise from $2.71 to $2.79. Higher usage blocks and commercial rates will see similar increases, generally around 3%.
Potable irrigation rates will also change. The first tier for a 3/4-inch meter for irrigation will increase from $5.84 to $6.01 per thousand gallons.
Customers outside city limits will continue to pay an additional 25% surcharge on their water bills.
Residents can contact the City of Zephyrhills Finance Department at 813-780-0000 for detailed rate information.
