Zephyrhills residents and businesses will pay new monthly rates for garbage and refuse collection starting October 1, 2026. The Department of Solid Waste operates as an enterprise fund, setting rates to cover collection and disposal costs.

Single-family homes will pay $18.79 per month for twice-weekly collection using a 95-gallon Z-Cart. Commercial customers using the same service will be charged $21.69 monthly.

Commercial dumpster rates vary by size and pickup frequency. A 2-cubic-yard dumpster with two pickups per week costs $97.16. A 4-cubic-yard dumpster with five pickups per week costs $489.74. The schedule also includes options for 3, 6, and 8-cubic-yard dumpsters.

Additional fees include $31.25 for dumpster installations. Extra collection trips cost $15.00 per cubic yard. Replacing missing or damaged Z-Carts costs $60.00. Stolen carts will be replaced by the city if a police report is filed.

Commercial accounts require a security deposit equal to two times their monthly service charge, adjusted annually on October 1. The city has procedures for refunds for vacant premises, requiring written requests and verification of no service.
