Hannah Martinez, a Palmcroft Elementary teacher, won the 2026 Yuma County Teacher of the Year award.
District One swept all three eligible categories in this year's county teacher awards, with Martinez earning top honors in the Intermediate/Special Area division. District One educators also won recognition in the Primary and Junior High divisions.
The county selected winners based on classroom performance, innovation in teaching methods, and student achievement.
