Residents in west central Yuma County, Arizona, and southeastern Imperial County, California, must seek shelter immediately. The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning effective until 7:45 PM MST / 7:45 PM PDT tonight, October 10.

At 7:02 PM MST / 7:02 PM PDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Somerton, moving north at 35 mph. This storm is capable of producing damaging wind gusts of 60 mph. Radar indicates the storm's intensity.

Impacted locations include Yuma, Somerton, Gadsden, Fortuna Foothills, San Luis, Araby, Winterhaven, Andrade, and Blaisdell. Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows.
