Fairborn Drinking Water Passes All Safety Tests 2025
The City of Fairborn released its 2025 Water Quality Report this week, confirming that drinking water met or exceeded all state and federal safety standards throughout the year.
The annual report, issued in compliance with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, shows no violations from extensive sampling and monitoring. Testing confirmed that lead and copper levels remained well below action limits, while fluoride, nitrate, and disinfection byproducts all fell within safe ranges.
Fairborn produces more than 1 billion gallons of potable water annually and operates under an unconditional license from OEPA.
City Manager Mike Gebhart said the results reflect the city's investment in infrastructure and personnel. "Access to clean, safe drinking water is fundamental to our community's health and quality of life," Gebhart said.
Public Works Director Terry Adkins said the team conducts year-round testing to maintain water quality. "Our treatment processes consistently deliver high-quality water to every customer," Adkins said.
