Bob Evans Farms Cold Storage Facility Opens in Fairborn
Bob Evans Farms will occupy a new cold storage facility under construction at 50 Chapelgate Drive in Fairborn, the city and developer Crawford Hoying announced.
The New Albany-based company will use the 196,400-square-foot building to store refrigerated products including mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and sausage and egg products. The site sits near Interstate 675 and State Route 235, providing access to I-70 and major transportation corridors.
"The new cold storage facility strengthens our operational network and supports economic development in the region," Bob Evans Farms President and CEO Mike McCoy said.
Crawford Hoying is developing the building with BGO Cold Storage and Contegra Construction. Fairborn provided economic development incentives to attract the investment.
"This project reflects the strength of Fairborn's public-private partnerships and our commitment to smart economic development," Fairborn City Manager Mike Gebhart said.
The facility is expected to open in the second quarter of 2026.
Bob Evans Farms, owned by Post Holdings Inc., produces refrigerated dinner sides, Simply Potatoes, Egg Beaters and Owens Sausage.
