The National Weather Service (NWS) in Blacksburg, VA, issued a Special Weather Statement at 6:34 AM EDT on September 30, 2026. Pockets of dense fog are expected for the next 1-3 hours, reducing visibility to as low as 1/4 mile in localized areas.
