CHOICE Academy Students Lead Peer Projects

Students at CHOICE Academy spent the first week of their final session exploring passion through hands-on projects and peer leadership.
Spark Studio students designed their own Montessori works, selecting materials and gathering feedback from classmates. Several led afternoon activities, guiding group games and reflections or sharing stories from personal trips before inviting peers to design animals during work time.
Fire Studio students reflected on their growth throughout the year. This session, the studio split into separate boys and girls groups, giving students practice managing changing dynamics and holding friends accountable as running partners. Students completed daily 30-minute testing sessions in the IXL language arts program.
Several Fire Studio students pitched to join DELTA Studio next year by planning and leading Day Quests. They developed ideas with DELTA mentors, created launches and videos, entered challenges into Journey Tracker, organized supplies within budget constraints, and executed their visions.
DELTA Studio students accessed new pickleball courts on campus and visited a go-kart racing facility, with several discovering interest in racing. DELTA students also mentored younger Spark Studio students during the week.
Launchpad students toured Davis Technical College to explore program options for next year.
CHOICE Academy operates multiple studios serving different age groups, with students progressing from Spark to Fire to DELTA as they advance. The final session does not include a formal quest in DELTA Studio, allowing some students to celebrate their year while others finish strong.
