Woodland Wins 3 State Awards for Government Communications
The City of Woodland received three awards from the California Association of Public Information Officials for excellence in government communications.
The city earned an Award of Excellence for its social media campaign covering the Dunnigan propane fire. It won two Awards of Merit for Woodland Living Magazine and the State of the City event.
Judges from across the United States and Canada evaluated entries based on innovation and effectiveness, according to CAPIO, which provides professional development and networking for government communicators throughout California.
"These awards reflect the City's commitment to providing timely and relevant information to our community," City Manager Ken Hiatt said. "Effective communication builds trust and engagement between the City and its residents."
