Loretta E. (Dimitri) Butterfield, Longtime Woburn Resident, Dies at 91

Woburn mourns the passing of Loretta E. (Dimitri) Butterfield, a longtime resident, who died peacefully on September 15th at the age of 91. Mrs. Butterfield was the beloved wife of the late David F. Butterfield.

Mrs. Butterfield's life centered around her family and her community in Woburn. She leaves behind a legacy through her children, Susan B. Valaitis and her husband George of Nashua, NH, and David F. Butterfield Jr. and his wife Patricia of North Andover. Her cherished grandchildren, Aiden, Lucy, George, and Joshua, also survive her.

She was a dear sister to Robert Dimitri and his wife Nancy of Kingston, NH, and Jeanette Shea and her husband Robert of Mashpee. Mrs. Butterfield was predeceased by her sister Georgette Peachey and her late husband Leo.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 24th, at 11:30 a.m. at the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, located at 263 Main Street, Woburn. Calling hours will precede the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow the service in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
