Winter Park residents who purchased swing seats from Pacearth Direct should inspect their outdoor play areas. The U-type swing seats, sold through Amazon between May 2017 and June 2026, are being recalled due to a defect that causes the seats, carabiners, quick links, and webbing straps to break.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall affecting approximately 110,550 units. The recalled seats were available in green, blue, pink, red, and turquoise, featuring yellow plastic-coated chains. They were sold individually or in packs of two for $27 to $57.

The CPSC reported 30 incidents involving the faulty swing seats, resulting in nine injuries, including fractures, head injuries, and bruising.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled swing seats. To receive a refund, customers must email Pacearth Direct with a photo showing the word “RECALLED” written in permanent marker next to the company’s logo.
