Auburndale schools are inviting parents and families to provide feedback on educational programs funded by Title I. The district has launched its annual Title 1 Parent Survey to gather opinions for the upcoming school year.
The survey allows residents to voice their opinions on the Parent Compact, the School Improvement Plan, and the allocation and usage of Title 1 funds. Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, provides supplemental academic support to schools with a high percentage of students from low-income families.
The district has also made key documents available for public review. The District Title I Parent & Family Engagement Plan outlines Title I resources and is submitted annually to the Florida Department of Education. Parents can also request information about their child's teachers and instructional paraprofessionals through "Right to Know Letters."
Additionally, the School Improvement Plan (SIP) details strategies for enhancing academic achievement, and the Compact for Learning establishes a shared responsibility agreement between schools and parents for student success. Copies of the SIP, Compact for Learning, and Parents and Family Engagement Plans (PFEPs) are available by contacting individual schools or visiting their front offices. The district also provides an Annual Report Card and the Code of Student Conduct.
Parents and family members are encouraged to complete the Title 1 Parent Survey. The survey is available online, and translated versions of key documents are provided at each school. For more information or to request copies, residents should contact their child's school directly.
