Winter Garden Launches Digital News Flash Archive

Winter Garden residents can now access a streamlined digital archive of past news flashes. The city made the archive available for easy searching of categorized content.

Users can filter the archive by keywords, specific categories, or date ranges. Categories include 'Community Redevelopment,' 'Police News Updates,' and 'Emergency Alert.' Each entry lists its original publication date and archival date.

For example, community redevelopment news published Jan. 26, 2024, was archived March 12, 2024. A 'Test_News_Flash_E-News' entry was published and archived July 28, 2021.

Police news updates from April 9, 2020, and earlier entries from June 7, 2019, and Dec. 12, 2017, are also included. The 'Emergency Alert' category contains entries from April 18, 2011, and June 8, 2011.

A 'Test' category entry from April 6, 2020, is also part of the archive.

The initiative provides transparency and easy access to past communications and announcements from various city departments. Residents can use the search and filter functions to find specific information related to community development, public safety, and emergency alerts.
