The Ocoee Fire Department accepts newborns up to 72 hours old around the clock, seven days a week, under the state's Safe Baby Station program.

Firefighters transport infants to a local hospital for medical evaluation. Child Protective Services then assumes care and placement of the baby.

On-duty firefighters, EMTs, and staff at hospitals and outpatient treatment centers serve as safe haven providers under the program.

For information or counseling, call 1-877-767-BABY (2229). The line operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
