Requires an appointment - Please call 530-623-1215 for information and scheduling - Performing Civil Ceremonies - Issuing certified copies of Marriage Certificates - Registering Birth and Death Records. Please call 530-623-1215 for information regarding Out-of-Hospital Birth Registration - An appointment is required for registration - Issuing certified copies of Birth Certificates - Issuing certified copies of Death Certificates - Filing Fictitious Business Name Statements - Records/Files authorized documents and maps - Collects transfer tax and other fees - Issues exact copies of recorded documents The Clerk/Recorder does not: - Notarize documents - Give legal advice regarding documents - Assist in completing documents - Verify the accuracy of documents
